Free Medical Camp and Expert talk on “Kidney transplantation, organized by Department of Biotechnology, CGC Landran in association with IVY hospital

Department of Biotechnology, CGC, Landran, Mohali along with Ivy hospital, Mohali organized an expert talk on “ Kidney transplantation “on 14.03.2024 in lieu of World Kidney day .The session was headed by Dr. Raka Kaushal, Director, Nephrology and transplantation at IVY Hospital , Mohali . The speaker highlighted various disorders of kidneys and also discussed kidney transplantation success and challenges. A medical camp in association with Ivy hospital was also organized at CGC, Landran Campus. Free blood sugar, blood pressure and diet consultation was provided to students, faculty and non teaching staff. Approximate 100 plus patients availed free medical camp facilities. Different competitions like oral presentation, declamation and quiz competition for students were also organized in the department . The session ended up with the feedback session where students asked their kidney related issues which were answered by the speaker.
