Educational visit to the Punjab Vidhan Sabha, Chandigarh

Chandigarh College of Technology (CCT), CGC Landran organised an educational visit to the Punjab Vidhan Sabha, Chandigarh, on 26 August 2026 as part of the MY Bharat Future Youth Leadership Programme. The visit provided students with an opportunity to gain firsthand knowledge of the functioning of the legislative assembly and understand the importance of responsible and sustainable development.During the visit, the students were introduced to the concept of sustainable building construction and were made aware of various environment-friendly practices incorporated in the Vidhan Sabha premises. The students also learned about the structure, working and functioning of the Punjab Vidhan Sabha. They were briefed on the legislative process, the role of elected representatives, parliamentary procedures and how important issues concerning the state are discussed and deliberated upon in the Assembly.

The visit served as an enriching learning experience, connecting classroom knowledge with real-world democratic institutions. It also encouraged students to develop greater awareness of civic responsibility, democratic values, sustainable development and active citizenship.
