Zindabad Zindagi Inter-College Debate Competition
The NSS Unit of Chandigarh College of Technology (CCT), Landran, Mohali, successfully organized the ‘Zindabad Zindagi’ Inter-College Debate Competition on April 22, 2026, under the patronage of the Office of the Deputy Commissioner (Rural Development), SAS Nagar. The event was inaugurated by Dr. Palki Sahib Kaur, who emphasized the role of such platforms in fostering awareness, leadership, and responsible citizenship among youth. Over 20 students from diverse streams, including Biotechnology, Microbiology, BCA, and Engineering, participated enthusiastically, debating on pressing themes like “Say No to Drugs, Yes to Life” and “Impact of Social Media on Youth.” The competition witnessed insightful discussions marked by strong research, clarity of thought, and persuasive communication. Distinguished guests from the Zindagi Zindabad Mission and Global Sikh Foundation, including Advocate Narveer Singh Gill, Manmeet Singh Duggal, Er. Dilawer Singh, and CA Amanjot Singh, graced the occasion. Advocate Gill delivered a highly impactful session on personal growth, discipline and social responsibility. In the results, Anuneet (B.Sc Biotechnology, CCT Landran) secured first position in the social media category, followed by Anushka (B.Tech, CGC Landran) and Lakshayveer (BCA, CCT Landran), while Arushi (B.Sc Biotechnology, CCT Landran) topped the anti-drug category, with Bhavandeep (B.Sc Biotechnology, CCT Landran) and Akshay (BCA, CCT Landran) securing second and third positions respectively. The event concluded on a high note, successfully raising awareness about drug abuse and digital well-being while inspiring students to adopt healthier and more responsible lifestyles.
