Women Entrepreneurs and Startup Summit (TWESS) 2026

Students of the Biotechnology Department of Chandigarh College of Technology, Chandigarh Group of Colleges Landran, achieved remarkable success at the Tech Women Entrepreneurs and Startup Summit (TWESS) 2026, held on 9 March 2026 at Golden Jubilee Hall, Chandigarh. The summit was an initiative of PI-RAHI Ropar Regional Accelerator for Holistic Innovations Foundation and SROT – Socio Responsible Organised Thrust Foundation, aimed at promoting innovation and entrepreneurship among students and budding startups.

The startup team MariTag Biosolution, comprising Komal Chandel, Apoorva Mehra, Inderjeet Singh, and Kundan Tiwari of M.Sc. 4th Semester, won the 2nd Prize in the Startup Category and received a cash award of ?15,000 for their innovative startup idea. In the Ideation Category, the team “Sinchit”, represented by Ankita Kamboj and Gunjan Bhardwaj of B.Sc Biotechnology 6th Semester, also won the 2nd Prize for presenting their innovative concept. The institute congratulated the students for their achievement and appreciated their efforts in promoting innovation and entrepreneurship among young researchers.
