Tracking and Hiking Camp

A Tracking and Hiking Camp was organized by the Directorate of Youth Services, Punjab (Youth Affairs, Punjab) from 10 March 2026 to 14 March 2026 at Village Mirzapur, District Mohali. The camp aimed to promote physical fitness, adventure skills, leadership qualities, and environmental awareness among youth.

Total 09 Students from the Department of Biotechnology, and Department of Computer applications, Chandigarh College of Technology (CCT), actively took part in this initiative. The participants included Rachita, Parinita, Radhika, Ridhimma, Riya, Roshni, and Sheetal from B.Sc. Biotechnology, and Parmeet and Harmanpreet Kaur from BCA.

During the five-day camp, students engaged in a variety of outdoor and adventure activities such as trekking, hiking, route tracking, endurance training, and team-building exercises. The program emphasized discipline, self-confidence, cooperation, and respect for nature. Expert trainers provided guidance on safety measures, survival techniques, and the importance of physical and mental well-being.

All participants demonstrated great enthusiasm, teamwork, and adaptability throughout the camp. Their active involvement helped enhance their leadership abilities, resilience, and awareness of adventure sports and healthy lifestyles.

The camp proved to be a valuable learning experience and contributed significantly to the overall personality development of the students. The camp served as an enriching experience that enhanced students’ physical endurance, leadership skills, and environmental awareness, while contributing significantly to their overall personality development.
