Cyber Safety and Safe Social Media Awareness Session
The Department of Computer Applications (DCA), Chandigarh College of Technology (CCT), organised an awareness session at a school to promote responsible digital behaviour and online safety among students.
The session highlighted important aspects of cyber awareness, including:
- Protecting personal information and online privacy
- Identifying phishing, online scams and fake accounts
- Understanding and preventing cyberbullying
- Creating strong passwords and enabling two-step verification
- Managing privacy settings and app permissions
- Practising safe internet and public Wi-Fi usage
- Reporting suspicious online activities
The session encouraged students to become responsible digital citizens and navigate the online world safely.
