International Conference on Advances in Agricultural Sciences

Dr. Nitin Sharma and Dr. Preeti Devi, Associate Professors, Department of Biotechnology, Chandigarh College of Technology, CGC Landran, brought laurels to the institution at the 2nd International Conference on Advances in Agricultural Sciences, 2026 (ICAAS-2026) held on 5–6 May 2026. The conference was jointly organized by the University School of Agricultural Sciences, Rayat Bahra University, Punjab State Council for Science and Technology, and Microbiologists Society, India.

Dr. Nitin Sharma was conferred with the prestigious “Excellence in Research Award” for his significant contributions to biotechnology research and innovation. He has more than 50 research publications and 3 published patents to his credit. His expertise includes integrating in vitro and in silico approaches in plant biotechnology, molecular analysis, bioinformatics, gene cloning, recombinant DNA technology, and recombinant protein expression for functional genomics.

Dr. Preeti Devi secured the 1st Prize in Poster Presentation for her research titled “A Conceptual Framework for Quick, Field-Deployable Organophosphate Pesticide Residue Detection in Agricultural Matrices.”

These achievements reflect the strong research and innovation culture at Chandigarh College of Technology, CGC Landran.
