Induction Program at Dept. of Biotechnology, CCT Landran: A Week of Inspiration and Learning

The Department of Biotechnology at CGC Landran recently concluded its vibrant Induction Program, held from July 18th to July 23rd, 2024. The event welcomed new students with a series of engaging sessions designed to foster academic excellence, personal growth, and community spirit.

On the first day, students were inspired by Dr. Palki, HOD of the Department of Biotechnology. Highlights of the day included a self-motivation workshop by Ms. Meenakshi, an alumni interaction with Ms. Deepanshi, and a session on examination schemes by Dr. Mohinder Pal.

The second day featured an engaging session on NCC by Mr. Santosh and his cadets and a detailed discussion on IQAC by Dr. Anuradha Barda. Industry expert Mr. Pradeep from Torrent Pharma shared invaluable insights on skills required to be a bio pharma professional, Mr. Manish from MastersSoft discussed the importance and use of ERP and the day concluded with an expressive arts session by Ms. Nisha Luthra.

On July 20th, students enjoyed an enriching visit to Chappar Chiri and CP 67 Mall, providing a blend of historical education and leisure. The following Monday included sessions on library resources by Ms Renu, Chief Librarian, NSS, International Affairs, TPP, and a dynamic talent hunt, showcasing students' diverse skills.

The final day was marked by sessions on the 'Art of Living' by Mr. Varun Upadhaya, mental well-being by Dr. Gurleen, Psychologist and academic excellence by Dr. Jagtar Singh Khattra. The program concluded with a focus on the importance of yoga by Capt. Vinod Kumar, followed by a prize distribution and valedictory ceremony.

The Induction Program at CCT Landran was a resounding success, leaving students motivated and well-prepared for their academic journey ahead.
