Expert session on “Molecular and microbiological insight into skincare and systemic health”, and Free skincare and healthcare camp

The Department of Biotechnology at Chandigarh College of Technology, CGC Landran, Mohali, organized an expert session on “Molecular and Microbiological Insights into Skincare and Systemic Health” on March 6, 2026, for Biotechnology and Microbiology students. The session was conducted in collaboration with Dr. Alka’s Skincare and Healthcare Clinic, Mohali.

The session commenced with an insightful talk by Dr. Alka, Chairman of Dr. Alka’s Skin Care & Healthcare Clinic, Mohali, and Founder of AR International Holdings, London, UK. She shared valuable knowledge on the relationship between skincare and systemic health, highlighting the scientific and microbiological aspects involved.

This was followed by a lecture from Dr. Rajeev Rai, Co-founder of AR International Holdings Pvt. Ltd., London, UK, who discussed the emerging role of artificial intelligence in skin health and diagnostics. Both sessions were highly informative and visually engaging, providing students with deeper insights into current developments and research trends in the fields of Biotechnology and Microbiology.

A free skincare and healthcare camp was organized in the Department of Biotechnology. During the camp, students and faculty members actively participated and received routine skincare consultations. The camp was led by Dr. Akshita, along with Dr. Alka, Dr. Rajeev Rai, and Mr. Mayur, who provided routine skincare consultations to students and faculty members. Around 70 students and faculty members benefited from the camp, making the event both educational and impactful. The session concluded with a vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to the distinguished speakers for sharing their expertise and inspiring students to explore emerging interdisciplinary areas in biotechnology and healthcare.
