Exhibition cum trade fair visit under PM Vishwakarma Scheme for students of Biotechnology
On March 6, 2025, the Department of Biotechnology organized a comprehensive
exhibition visit to empower students with the knowledge and skills essential for
thriving in the startup and entrepreneurial landscape. The exhibition, part of the
PM Vishwakarma Scheme and hosted by the MSME Ministry of the Government
of India, was held from March 4-6 at Kisan Bhawan, Chandigarh. The event
showcased a diverse range of talented artisans, including textile craftsmen,
handloom artists, jewelers, and pottery makers. These artisans set up stalls to
present their unique creations and skills. For students, this visit offered valuable
networking opportunities with suppliers, distributors, and potential business
partners. It was especially beneficial for those running or planning to launch their
own startups, providing insight into available funding schemes and the role of
incubators in nurturing new businesses. Overall, the exhibition was a highly
enriching experience, empowering students with practical knowledge to help them
succeed in the entrepreneurial world.
