Advanced Training on Recombinant DNA Technology & CRISPR Technology

The Department of Biotechnology at Chandigarh College of Technology (CCT), CGC Landran, successfully commenced the first day of a two-day National Level Championship and Hands-on Training on Recombinant DNA Technology and Genetic Engineering using CRISPR Technology in association with Carrytern Technologies and Meraj, IIT Bhilai.

The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from Biotechnology and Microbiology students reflecting a strong interest in emerging biotechnological advancements. The session began with a warm welcome of the resource persons and participants, followed by an introductory address highlighting the importance of genetic engineering in modern science.

Dr. Safican Bano and Mr. Tarun Kumar, an expert speakers and Trainers from Carrytern Technologies and Meraj (IIT Bhilai) delivered insightful lectures on the fundamentals of recombinant DNA technology and the revolutionary CRISPR technique. The sessions focused on real-world applications, recent innovations, and career opportunities in the field of biotechnology.

Post lunch, hands-on practical training was conducted, where participants actively engaged in laboratory techniques and gained valuable exposure to advanced tools used in genetic engineering. The interactive nature of the training allowed students to clarify concepts and enhance their practical skills.

The day concluded on a positive note with participants expressing satisfaction over the knowledge gained and eagerly looking forward to the second day, which promises more advanced sessions and activities.
