With a view to develop the all round personality of the students, CGC Landran- best college in Punjab lays a lot of emphasis on sports as well. With students being involved with studies and spending a lot f time indoors it becomes imperative to involve them in physical activities and channelize their energies in the right direction thereby relaxing the mind and breaking away from daily monotony. It is the constant endeavor of the college to make students physically active besides improvising their intellectual traits CGC; Landran has well equipped Basketball Courts, Cricket pitch, Volley Ball Courts, Indoor Badminton Courts, Table Tennis Tables (Indoor) & Gymnasiums. The Physical Education Department of the College regularly organizes Inter Collegiate competitions and tournaments in various sports events and activities. The students at CGC are regularly encouraged to participate in these tournaments across various sports within the campus as well as outside. Besides being a source of recreation, sports help in keeping the students fit and bring down the stress levels thus rejuvenating the mind and body. Students have been adding laurels to the Gold and silver medals tally by consistently outperforming and breaking previous records. This clearly reflects in our students’ consistent performance at PTU Inter College Sports Tournament in the session 2015- 16, with over 12 gold, 14 silver and 12 bronze medals. With 38 medals in all in sports like- Swimming, Table Tennis, Badminton, Basket Ball, Lawn Tennis, Hand ball, power lifting, Athletics and other sports. So ready to exercise your sporty spirit!
