Seminar on “Civil Services as a career option”

Seminar on “Civil Services as a career option” was organized by CCT, CGC Landran in collaboration with Krishan IAS academy, Chandigarh on 21st March 2025. The seminar aimed at raising awareness about the promising career opportunities within the Centre and State Civil Services. Session was organized for prefinal and final year students of Department of Pharmacy of CGC, Landran. The speaker of the talk was Dr. Sachin Goyal, Director of Krishna IAS Academy Sector 24, Chandigarh. Dr. Goyal has an experience of more than 20 years and has produced more than 600 class 1 officers. The seminar covered preparation strategies for UPSC and State civil services exams, the challenges faced by officers in state administration, and the evolving role of technology in improving governance efficiency. Dr. Goyal stressed the importance of perseverance, analytical skills, and a deep understanding of local governance issues for those aspiring to join the PCS. He also explained various career option in top layer govt. Jobs and also motivated students for the same. It was more interactive and informative session, where the student comes to know the top bureaucracy layer who are the rule makers of our country. The seminar concluded with a networking session, providing attendees an opportunity to seek guidance and advice from Dr. Goyal. The event successfully highlighted PCS as an invaluable and fulfilling career path not to be overlooked.
