Expert Talk on “Role of MHC in Immune response”

Department of Biotechnology, Chandigarh College of Technology, CGC, Landran, Mohali organized a Guest Lecture on “Role of MHC in Immune response” lead by Mr. Vimal Bhutani, Director, Biotech Sapiens, Chandigarh. Department of Biotechnology always encourages development of professional and technical skill in students by providing platform to gain knowledge and exposure. The session was conducted by Mr. Vimal Bhutani where he talked about the importance of Major Histocompatibility Complex in immunology. He made the session informative and visually compelling for the audience. The lecture emphasized on the structure and function of MHC class I and II molecules citing their importance in organ transplantation. Furthermore, the talk was followed by a session where he discussed about various competitive examinations conducted by CSIR, DBT and ICMR, their question paper pattern and scope after Master’s Degree. Overall, a well-structured session was conducted that motivated students along with information regarding possible career paths.
