BIG Finale @ IIT Delhi Awaits Talented Biotech Students from CGC
A thrilling journey culminates in the upcoming grand finale of 9th National Zonal
Championship organized by Make Intern (Training Partner with Tryst, IIT Delhi), where five
brilliant students from the Biotechnology department at Chandigarh Group of Colleges
(CGC) have earned a spot in the final round to be held at IIT Delhi. The competition was part
of five-day National Workshop jointly organized by Department of Biotechnology, CGC
Landran with Makeintern, and E cell IIT Hyderabad. The workshop exposed students to
various advanced Molecular Biology techniques, including DNA isolation, Polymerase Chain
Reaction (PCR), electrophoresis, PCR and spectrophotometry. The students’ knowledge and
hands-on abilities were evaluated through group discussions, a quiz competition, and their
practical understanding of the subject matter.
Among the selected finalists are Sabbhya Verma, Shivangi Sabharwal, Rachna Kumari,
Vanshika Sharma, and Arushi Thakur - all from CGC’s Biotechnology program. Their
outstanding performance throughout the workshop has earned them a place in the final
competition at IIT Delhi, one of the premier institutions for research and education in India.
This Championship has been recognized as a platform for the exchange of ideas, innovation
and learning by students from all across the nation. CGC is extremely proud of these students
for their exceptional performance and wishes them the very best of luck as they prepare to
compete in the grand finale. With their talent, determination, and hard work, these young
