2 Day workshop on Bioproduct formation (Enzymes and antimicrobial products)

Department of Biotechnology, Chandigarh College of Technology, CGC, Landran, Mohali organized a 2 Day workshop on Bioproduct formation (Enzymes and antimicrobial products) on 23-24 Feb, 2023 for the Microbiology students in collaboration with Bio-Age Equipment & Services, Mohali. Department of Biotechnology always encourages development of professional and technical skill in students by providing platform to gain knowledge and exposure. The sessions were conducted by Mr. Shashi Kumar Rana (CEO Bio-Age Equipment & Services) and Ms Ayesha Pandit (Head-QC & Training). They shared their valuable insights on design and construction of Fermenters. Their sessions were highly informative and visually compelling for the audience. The lecture emphasized on the growth of microorganisms under optimal conditions. The lecture and hands-on training was lead by Mr. Shashi Kumar Rana on Bioproduct formation ( Enzymes and antimicrobial products). Overall, it was a well-structured workshop full of knowledge from both theoretical as well as practical point of view. It enriched students with knowledge and ongoing research in the field of Microbiology. After the workshop, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between Department of Biotechnology, CGC, Landran and Bio-Age Equipment & Services, Mohali to enhance academic research, project facilitation, student internships and placements.
